Recep Tayyip Erdogan the turkish president has promised total support to the United States of America against coronavirus, Erdogan also appreciated Donald Trump for its effort against the virus as it recovers from the outbreak. This statement was signed in a letter along with a planeload a Personal Protective Equipment donated to america.

"I hope that this humble assistance will assist your fight against this pandemic and contribute to the speedy recuperation of your citizens who contracted this virus. You can be sure, as a reliable and strong partner of the US, we will continue to demonstrate solidarity in every way possible" Erdogan wrote.


The PPE consist of 500,000 surgical masks, 2,000 litres of disinfectant, 1,500 gogles, 400 N-95 masks and 500 face shileds. The plane conveying the equipment landed on tuesday at Joint base Andrews in the night, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo appreciated the gesture and added his country was grateful for the support.

There are report that Ankara is trying to secure a swap line from US Federal Reserve also to discuss other funding options to mitigate the pandemic economic fallout.

Likewise, Turkey has sent protective equipment to countries like Spain, Italy and 55 others.
