God Bless You my brother just look at this below...

It's so painful to work in Nigeria. my younger brother who happens to work with a Federal Government Teaching Hospital has not been paid for about four months since he resumed duty as a House Officer. And you expect him to keep working on daily basis about 13 of them have not been paid, you still want him to work. When workers who are not working are paid for staying at home and you want someone working to continue because of humanity services. Let's not forget this are human beings. I keep sending him money to manage but does it make any sense? Even this lock down they have not done to see they pay this young man his salary and yet they keep working as frontline Doctors,Doing Casualty calls at Accident and Emergency. It's so pathetic to be Nigerian. It's very annoying to be working and yet you won't receive a dime salary and we want to them to work tirelessly. How can a Doctor be working this period and yet don't receive any payment? Isn't that wickedness in the highest places? If the hospital don't have human sympathy at least do the needful on this young man who is working during Corona Virus outbreak. God should save our souls. It's so terrible......don't be annoyed if you hear Dr's don't attend to patients or striking at this period most time the hospital no try and it's nothing to live for it.
I am so touched and angry by this. Honestly, I do not blame doctors who decide to go outside the country to practice medicine.

the problem of Nigeria is greatly from Nigerians. Your brother and other house officers haven't been paid simply because the chief medical director and director of finance in that hospital locked their money. House officers are not under ippis, else this nonsense will not happen. Their salaries hit the hospital account every month from FG. But these wicked men refuse to pay them. This is the reason people should advocate seriously for ippis at all levels. Please which hospital is this. If you are sure of your claims, take it to twitter

I am going to suggest this to him because they can't take it any more. I guess it trending on Twitter will be the best. Let the hospital be embarrassed.
Why are they being made to face contempt charges?
Nigerian doctors are some of the most appreciated all over the world but here in Nigeria, we treat them like shiittt!!!
Are they being paid appropriately?
Do they have sufficient PPEs?
Do they have the tools they need to work efficiently?

We can criticize our doctors all day long but come on guys, we need them and they are here for us.
Was it not too long ago that Ngige said that doctors are free to leave because we have enough in Nigeria?

Was it not too long ago the minister of health, Isaac Adewole said that doctors that not all doctors will be specialists and some of them will end up being farmers??

We have treated our nurses, doctors, and medical professionals, so unfairly in this country!!

Adadevoh bravely gave her life to prevent what could have been a disastrous outbreak of Ebola.... Where is she today? To the best of my limited knowledge, no federal recognition, no scholarships and grants for her children! Absolutely nothing to immortalize her!!!

We want these people to be our first line of defense, then its time to treat them fairly.
Otherwise, get out of their way and let them strike in peace!![

Those police men you call when you are faced with threat to your life, some of whom died in that cause, how much are they paid? Even the military personnel that have died in numbers at the cause of protecting you from terrorists, how much are they paid? Is their own life less to that of medical doctors whom you demand preferential treatment for? Come on guy, I don't believe any profession is more important to the other. All the materials and equipments a medical doctor needs to discharge his duties are produced by people from other fields, if those people go on strike, will the doctors work? I respect and value doctors but their shakara too much abeg. Our government is not trying either but in a critical time like this, we should be our brothers keeper.

Ya all be attacking doctors, and have refused to look at why they are striking.. the government shouldn't renege on their agreement and then come back to try and use court orders to hold them down.

It takes witchcraft and selfishness for any doctor to strike at this critical moment.

Those guys are paid 145k per month with no hazard allowance and life insurance.

The government promised them an upward review but disappointed them. That is the origin of the strike.

Imagine that you have an only son whom you spent over 5 million naira in training him through medical school, he becomes a doctor after graduation.... Would you be happy to allow him fight covid-19 with that kind of salary coupled with poor working condition knowing fully well that he is at risk of infection?

This is really a difficult situation.

I condemn d government not keeping to their promises, but d doctors shud hv considered d poor masses that will bear d brunt, perhaps this is the time to volunteer their services for the sake of the distressed cry cry

Is it not the same poor masses and the distressed that will collect salt and rice during the next election to vote in incompetent people?

Imagine how you will feel if your wife were to be a doctor and she comes back every day after attending to covid-19 patients without PPEs and good salary! Wouldn't you be scared of being infected?

These doctors are humans and they have families too.

Believe you me, if the government had honoured Adedevo after the Ebola incident and mapped out a good package for medical workers, do you think that this challenge won't be over?

If they refused to return, they should be sacked, sent to jail and license withdrawn.

As much as we feel their pains, it is also irresponsible to abandon the people the vowed under oath to save.

Nigerians are probably the most confused people on planet earth. I remember vividly at the beginning of this virus in Nigeria, you all started shouting, lock down the country, and once the country was locked next was my business o, hunger wants to kill me as if you didn’t think of that when you were shouting lock down the country.

Now that the lockdown has been lifted so that hunger will not kill you again, you’re still complaining. Wailing headquarters of the world.

Anyways, as for me and my household, come May 4th, we won’t step an inch out of this house. Who wants to go and die can do so.
funny you bro.

This is the kind of information that you always Carry. Please how much are they paying you, kindly advise your pay master to pay the Resident Doctors of Parklane hospital the full CONMESS as obtainable in other Tertiary Health Institutions and as he signed and agreed.

For the GHOST Mr. Oscar Mbah that went to the hospital, it's a pity that the Resident Doctors are on strike.he can equally join hands with the good people of Enugu State to ask HIS EXCELLENCE to pay them so that work will resume

It is evil and an act of cowardice for any doctor to go on strike at this critical moment of his/her career.

This is not the time to settle scores with government.

When the elders and wise men are talking small boys should just sit down and listen. So government should continue to do as they like

Oga you're mates are Medical doctors and age is not an excuse, you can still go and purchase JAMB form and read medicine and do your own free or better still train your children and tell them to work for free.

Oga I have studied and suffered a lot to be at least a lawyer. I don't imagine going through similar stress again. I also engage in ( Pro Bono )free legal services to poorest of the poor. Most of these doctors earn at least 200k per month yet they are not a bit grateful to God. I understand that their job is quite risky but that should not be a reason to dump tools at these trying times. That is repugnant to equity and good conscience.

My brother, I feel your pain, but an eye for an eye leaves the community blind. They have been wronged, teachers have been wronged, the masses have been wronged but think about this if they strike do u think it affects the big man or poor man morr

They have every right to go on strike agreed, but pls, their call is a call to save life, let them be a little patient fir the sake of the poor and God will reward them cry
