netflicks:
Is Nigeria cursed that we can't fix power since independence? What is wrong with this country... sold crude for over 53years, borrowed up ro N34trillion yet can not even feed it citizens for a day...

In this modern age we still cant say a single thing the county has achieved since independence...its a shame and we still have these old folks revolving around the govt. recycling the same criminals every election period...

It’s a deep problem bro, problems with the leaders and the citizens.

One one hand you have leaders who don’t care, on the other hand, you have barbaric citizens ready to kill at the drop of a hat.

Just starve them motherfucker with electricity for 3 years.

When PDP government of Jonathan was busy selling national assets and corporation like NEPA at give away prices, they didn't know that this would be the consequences for every citizen. Some were busy encouraging Jonathan to go ahead and sell every government assets and corporations like PHCN that were providing social services at subsidised rates.
Now, investors (DISCOs owners) must make money, no free electricity, lockdown or no lockdown.

Are they MAD?

People are hungry, angry and destitute

Any official that goes out in person for bill collection or enforcement is doing so at their own personal risk

That was highly insensitive of the company. People are on lockdown; no work ,no income yet you're going about disconnecting their electricity supply. That's the very height of insensitivity.

Bedc Is Too Corrupt by xpool(m): 6:30pm On Apr 28
Why is Benin Electricity Distribution Company, Asaba Branch full of thieves and extortionists?
Just a week ago, BEDC disconnected Ambassador Leo Okogu Street and Environs from the national grid by removing what they called conductors, to enable the contractor handling the road/drainage construction do their work in that vicinity.
It lasted for almost a week, and we endured the total black out amidst the covid19 lockdown, while our neighbours had power supply.

The contractor has since finished with that aspect and location for BEDC to reconnect us.

But BEDC refused, instead they tasked us to pay them to reconnect us. They insisted that if we did not pay, we were never going to be reconnected.

How long will Nigerians be oppressed, extorted, humiliated and marginalised in their own country, by every sector.
Why is BEDC always in the news for the wrong reasons?

There is nothing else I can do, except to let the world know what BEDC is doing to Delta state citizens, they are so hated in Edo and Delta state.

Moderators help us repair this country a little by pushing this to front page

Residents beat and chase IBEDC staff with cutlass for trying to disconnect Their Light.

This is an old video and pictures.

This incident happened last year. The man and his son were the one that beat that IBEDC staff before other youths joined them. In fact they were later arrested and prosecuted.

The mod that even make this a front page didn't do well at all. I believe posts are well scrutinized before making front page.

It is well.

Abeg make we hear word. Thats how you people say. Everything pay this pay that. If its not working spend more or pay more. Yet with all the pay this and that nothing works. Even people who are supposed to do their jobs will say pay us what we want 1st.

Nigeria doesn't have constant power supply partly because the populace are not ready to pay for such. Imagine this nonsense. Those boys should all be arrested and dealt with.
