Which means it hasn't happened yet. Our leaders should thank them for the heads-up and plan against it. This is Naija: if the situation is averted the results will still go into the pockets of a few.

That is such a huge amount of money

You are right. It is such a huge money.

But when Nigeria gets such money the Federal government often squander it or use ethnicity, nepotism, regional interest or religious bigotry to allocate the resources.

We only hear huge losses but nobody knows when they gain due to corruption. Despite huge money they get in oil, the oil contribution in budget is just #3.2 trillion and they will loot the rest. Useless unrepentant corrupt leaders

[s]Wrong assessment by IMF. This IMF is too dumb. Nigeria's political elites to lose money, not Nigeria. The masses never knew where all the money goes. Even when Oil price was relatively high, Ngozi Iwealla and Goatluck Jonaddaft were borrowing to pay Salaries while the President's megalomaniac wife was becoming richer than the States.

The good news is buyers are now rejecting Oil as price is going down to $0. The end is coming to the problems of Nigeria. Oil is what the devil sent to ruin Nigeria. Once Oil sales end, Nigeria will be forced back to Agriculture and Solid Minerals.

Then we shall see whether Farmers will toil the Soil, plant Crops, nurture the Crops, then Harvest it, sell the Harvests and go and give the money to useless government and politicians to share and loot.

Very soon, nobody will contest for any elective posts again when there is no money to share and loot[/s].

lol ... civil servant would hear hunger , feel hunger and see hunger.... drop in oil price saw them not paying salary for 18 months, now drop in price plus lack of sales would see them owing 30 months, bankers would lay off staffs as we run a monoeconomy, importers wont get dollar and prices of imported items would go up, market women would sell less and make little profit

.

Banks have already concluded on the retrenchment and 'service no longer required ' letters. Their own no dey waste time...

Instead of diversifying the economy these decrepit demons in power carried out more oil exploration in other states at an age where Nuclear power, Solar power, Wind energy, Water energy and Electrical energy is on the rise. Nigeria with it's out of touch leaders still think Oil is the answer. What about when it was 100 dollar a barrel? Did they save for a rainy day?: No these decrepit demons in power looted everything. God save and bless Nigeria.

My prayer is that oil becomes like coal, let oil become so abundant that it becomes very cheap.

Maybe Nigeria will start getting some sense and decide to really develop its economy. This is 2020 and its like nothing has changed in Nigeria.

When the oil was useful we didn't benefit, if it becomes useless nothing spoil

When countries like Dubai, Saudi Arabia, Qatar was developing with there own oil money, diversifying there economy from oil to tourism we were busy creating useless states that will enable the sharing of the money, politicians will get into power steal all the money, take there children abroad and become citizens there.

Una never see anything

Some set of people in Nigeria from a particular region opened baby factories, one man would give birth to 100children give them plates to beg, and voters card. Because they want to cheat the south, they want to claim we are the most populous region so as to hold on to power.

Countries like China are looking for how to reduce there population so as they can cater for them, people way nothing them get dae born anyhow so that them go win election. Una eye get clear soon.
Re: IMF: Nigeria To Lose Over $26 Billion From Oil Exports by Coldie(m): 8:24am On May 01, 2020
So Nigeria is abt to loose $24billion, of what use is the money when Buhari was about to borrow same money when oil had not lost value.

As far as Nigeria continues to be foolish, the Nigerian dream will always be how to live this country and never come back.

Let Nigeria continue to fool itself. One day people would become frustrated enough at this rubbish and problems would start. Let everything scatter.

2020 u can't have light in 24 hours in a full week.

Police can't carry out justice if u refuse to pay them u go die there.

Go to customs for international passport if u don't bribe them 6months, you have not seen your passport.

One section of the country carry Islam for head pass even Saudi Arabia, sight all the projects in the region then start looking for Islamic excuse to either kill or chase people from different regions or religion who come there to work.

We are busy fooling ourselves

One country has turned terrorism into business. Has been fighting book haram for over 10years. They don't want help from any foreign body cause they know they will expose the scams going on. They just prefer to be budgeting billions yearly sharing the money and deceiving themselves.

And we should be angry that oil price has fallen because our papa na buratai or Buhari?

This won't affect only elites, it's going to affect everybody..
It'd affect money given to hospitals, the money allocated to states, the electricity supply of the country, road construction..
Nigeria is a broke country with a large population

The kind of agriculture we practice in Nigeria won't make us a First World country...
