As a Woman you married and after sometime you could not get pregnant or give birth then you decide to Adopt & raise a child, After sometime miraculously you give birth...

Who will you call your first Child? undecided

Lol.

There isn't an easy way around this, because there are certain factors that'll determine who that title will be given to at different points.

Legally, your first child is your adopted child. Biologically, your first child is the one you naturally gave birth to.

By legally adopting that child, he or she automatically become your first child and has same rights with the one that came after.

Ur second child of course.

U and ur husband knows whats up but the kids dont need to know. Keep the love.

But i know women, they go still cast by putting adopted kid in a public school and the biological one in a private expensive school.

All those blood is thicker than water BS.

And when things cast. One baba will tell them to ask for forgiveness from the adopted child......karma tinz grin

It's very simple

Please don't adopt a child if you know you can't 100% treat them as your own, don't add to their trauma

Adopted child is still the first child

If you want to talk technicalities, the second child is obviously your first biological child. But that shouldn't change the way you view or treat them.

It shouldn't matter to the point of struggling to know what to call them, unless you're filling out some kind of form where the technicality is significant etc

Because they are raised in a home where parents have been planning for a long time and are prepared for a child, adopted children has legal entitlement as birthed children

see how you are shooting yourself in the legs? so if you filling a form, you still can't say the adopted child is still the first?

whether one is filling a form, the technicality should not be applied. The first child will always be the adopted child.

I said where the technicality is significant e.g. a medical form requiring information about biological relations or wherever else the detail would be of particular significance

Officially, the adopted one is the first child.
Are we even debating this?

Technically, The one you adopted is your first child ...

Biologically, the one your birthed is your first child ....

Now it depends on what semantics you adopt to determine first child in your family ...

are you using technically or Biologically ?

Only you can make that choice grin
