The Rapid Spread Of COVID-19 In Abakaliki Stadium And Ebonyi Govt Recklessness The ongoing world pandemic has no doubt hit Ebonyi state as number of cases exceed 5 in less than 14 days the state recorded its first Coronavirus case. The Ebonyi State government has been careless in making a safe environment for the outbreak of COVID-19 virus. Ebonyitvnews independent investigation uncovered the high level of government recklessness in managing Covid-19 index cases in the Abakaliki stadium. In Ebonyi state, there is a government policy that anyone who comes in from outside the state will be taken to the Abakaliki stadium before they get tested to ascertain there health status. Inside the stadium, our investigator revealed that social distances are being violated while wearing of facemask are not being properly maintained. As at the time of filling this report on 05/04/2020 the stadium houses over 300 persons who violated the state government lockdown order including okada riders. According to our findings, The fifth Coronavirus index case Is a 24 years old girl , a hair dresser from Awgu in Uburu in Ohaozara Local Government Area. She resides at No 30 Queens close Ọkpara Avenue in Enugu. She was picked up from Uburu by COVID-19 task force to the stadium immediately she arrived Ebonyi from Enugu state with her family. While at the stadium she had contact with a Coronavirus patience before testing positive after showing symptoms. Our investigator however revealed that the 24 years old girl who was confirmed positive had a direct contact with several other persons in the stadium. There is a rising fear that the stadium may have being contaminated with over 300 persons likely to be positive. If strict measures are not taken, we may witness another Italy in Abakaliki stadium. https://ebonyitvnews.com/2020/05/04/flash-the-spreading-of-covid-19-in-abakaliki-stadium-and-ebonyi-state-government-recklessness/ 2 Likes
