Foolish man, US could've easily kept that money and nothing would've happened.

Why haven't Saudi Arabia and other muslim countries returned Abacha's loot or you think he didn't move some funds there?

Sagay has become a tool and I hate be seen agreeing with such a tool, but as I said on another thread...

https://www.nairaland.com/5835531/ready-replace-returned-300m-abacha
9jaRealist:
STFU USA! angry

As much as I hate the notion of such returned loot being re-looted...
It's rather rich for the getaway driver, bag-holder or fence in a robbery to lecture the robbery victims.

>

All of these countries now shamed/compelled into returning Abacha Loot were all complicit, for they knew exactly what was going on. SMh

The US Government knows Nigeria is governed by a band of thieves. So the conditions given are in order.

cool

I think its actually insulting for US to release such money... how many foreign cars and rice smuggled into Nigeria do we return back to the nations it came from? even with conditions... how many west African pirates and oil bunkerers have Nigerian Navy returned their ships and stolen loots back to the countries it was stolen from?

EFCC had made hundreds of millions of dollars in confiscated cash and bank funds with millions in assets like benz, exotic cars and houses from Yahoo Boys scamming Americans and after the forfeiture order from a court Nigerian Government seats on the loot and re embezzle it

Exactly. All the money including interest should be sent to Nigeria ASAP. Then a noble and honest individual like Dino BigBele Melaye should be made in charge of that money to use for himself/friends the good of Nigeria.

Its a good insult. Still not happy the money was returned. What they should have done as a condition of receiving this loot was to say give us an account of how the loots received before were spent. If nothing sensible and justifiable, then they forfeit this one. Simple!

When leaders debase themselves to corruption, and greed with no selfless positive vision, other mature and more sensible leaders with vision have to babysit them.

And it has nothing to do with America's might over us. I cannot imagine this so called insult happening to countries like Singapore, I doubt even Rwanda. It has everything to do with respect and integrity.

If you think the citizens are tbe reasons why other developed Nations treat nigerians badly then you need a change of mind. For the USA to have the effontery to even dictate for our leaders , how much more the citizens who don't even have a say. Too bad

Mark my word, even this one will be re-looted and mis-used despite the warning. This idiot is talking as if Buhari government never re-looted Abacha's loot since 2015.

Forget Nigeria, it's irredeemable.

Very insulting. But the ass licking enslaved brainwashed idiots will be crying and wailing for the US.
How can someone who housed a stolen loot be dictating to the owner of the loot.
Buhari should give the US the middle finger and told them to FVCK off.
And I guarantee you that there's nothing they can do about it. It's showmanship.

If Abacha happens to be an igboman, believe me the level of hate against the igbo tribe would have turned to something else. Nobody will insult Abacha but the entire igbo race.

It's very degrading and insulting. But who are we to complain or blame them? One greedy idiots impoverished the past and and future generations of his country, looted the treasury of the entire nation and kept the proceeds in the coffer of a stranger (to feed the stranger and his unborn generations fat).

Imagine a sovereign state getting directives and threat on where to spend her money and manage her economy. That shows how much we've sunk and descended as a nation. All thanks to our never do well corrupt leaders and the image carved us by all.the goons and advocates of "get rich by cheat or crook".

By the time corruption is through with us, we will find it offensive being tagged "Nigerians"

Yes, he's right, it's an insult but we deserve it...
Nigerian leaders are not using funds for the directed purposes and the USA are aware of this.. The same thing is happening now with all the funds donated to fight covid-19..what has the money been used for... Where are the palliatives, instead we are released like dogs on the street "in the name of lockdown relaxation" ... to fend for ourselves.
Re: Sagay: It’s Insulting For United States To Give Conditions On Abacha's Loot by korlahwarleh: 5:51am On May 05, 2020
Why do they always talk about sovereignty when it favours them?

When you went there begging for ventilators and other handouts you didn't remember being sovereign.

When EU talked about the election they came to monitor, you told them you're a sovereign nation, but when they sent you money during the pandemic, you forgot sovereignty.

It's just common sense. A leadership in the past stole this huge amount of money. You have to warn the present leadership not to repeat the same na.

I blame America. Dem suppose use the money do giveaway for New York.

Shameless old fools in leadership.

If you respect yourselves the word will respect you, but since you have become a curse and pain to the Nigerian people, the world will disrespect you. The world will laugh at you. They will give you conditions on things that belongs to you. Ndi ori!

Very soon, no one will buy oil, and you will lick the world's asses to fund your kleptocratic government.
