If you are looking for an answer to this question, then you very well know what upwork is about and you have decided to be a freelancer and make money while at it. Upwork is a very good platform to do that.

According to CEO Stephane Kasriel, Upwork gets 10,000 new applications every day. That might sounds crazy? So what does that tell you? It tells you that having the skills to work at Upwork is not the only criteria .

Not all are approved. Only 2% of applicants are actually approved and in this guide we are going to talk about how you can be in 2%. Today I am going to share with you some little known insider tips that will greatly increase your chances of getting approval for your Upwork account .

But before we dive into that. Let's talk about the most common reasons why Upwork accounts are rejected.

The way Upworks works is that it is a marketplace. One side of the market is customers. And the other side is freelancers. So Upworks' primary goal is to strike a balance between the number of jobs posted by clients and the number of freelancers they have with skills that can handle those jobs.

What they don't want to happen is having an oversupply of freelancers with the same skill set because there will be too much competition for freelancers and not too much demand from clients.

So it's really good that Upwork is strict because it really creates less competition for us.

This is by far the number one reason accounts are not approved.

The second most important reason why your Upwork account may not be approved is because you are not completing your profile correctly or completely. This happen a lot for new freelancers. Somehow, they question their profile and that causes their account not to be approved.

The Upwork system analyzes each new request and, if they see a section that is not complete, it is flaged. So this might not be completing your skills, portfolio, etc.

I would take you through every step of the way to get your Upwork account approved, from start to finish, would also provide the needed resource materials to ensure you are constantly on track.
