Soldiers and police have been drafted to the Infectious Disease Hospital, Akure , Ondo State , to prevent suspected killer of Mrs Funke Olakunri, daughter of Afenifere leader , Pa Reuben Fasoranti, from escaping .
Adamu, who was arrested and arraigned before an Akure Magistrates’ Court over Olakunri’ s killing , reportedly tested positive for coronavirus .
He has been receiving treatment at the IDH .
It was learnt that the accused allegedly made attempts to escape but was stopped by the security officials deployed at the hospital .
It was learnt that the development led to an increased police and military presence at the health facility .
A source said , “ The man ( suspect ) has made several attempts by deploying various tactics to escape from the hospital. It was the timely intervention of the police that prevented his latest attempt to escape .
“ Whenever Adamu goes to the toilet he spends long hours . ”
The source added that Adamu had been chained to his bed and being closely monitored .
