It is confirmed that CEO Star Sharwama was arrested and detained yesterday by EFCC officials in Makurdi.

A female EFCC staff ordered and paid for an item , she was supposed to pay 1500 but made an online transaction of 1600 instead.

Meanwhile Star Sharwama was expecting an alert for the Payment of 1500 but the alert did not drop , they saw an alert but assumed it was for another person's order not hers because her bill was 1500 and not 1600.

kept calling to remind her of their money, when they finally got the statement from the bank which showed that she was the person who made the payment of 1600, Star Sharwama called to inform her and apologize for everything but she was very angry and vowed to deal with them .

On Wednesday Miss Ato was arrested with other staff of her restaurant and detained at Efcc office in Makurdi, the others were later released, but she was kept in detention and released around 7 pm, she was accused of fraud .

She was asked to report back today on allegations of fraud. Miss Ato was to be charged to court today for fraud.

I found out also that many people contacted the zonal head of Efcc to let go off this issue but he did not listen to anyone....

Oga it does not work that way. Is it usual for someone to have a bill of 1500 and transfer 1600? Besides that place looks busy, do you know how many orders they have daily? What if someone else had transfered and then you release the product to the wrong person wount that cause another wahala?.

The lady should get a lawyer to sue the officers involved and the head of Efcc in that state. Sue for damages and a declaration that they're unfit to hold public office.

That's automatic sack for them.

Na the same court they carry her go so...make she first get lawyer to defend herself from the fraud case first. Everybody will want to sweet talk issue to garner sympathy. Even if she was expecting money from another customer what is wrong to first of all verify your account and confirm the source of the deposit received before you continue to harass the customer.

Then she was showing her strength. Maybe if it was another person that does not work in that office she would have been the first to arrest the person with the police.

For the EFCC guys sha.. the issue is taken too far. If it is in the US taking people to court for any slight mistake/ offence is a normal thing so they may likely take it in good faith but in Nigeria here anything wey happen wey involve arrest and court na long term enemity.

Since the efcc has lost its focus, it should be disbanded.

You saw alert of 1600 the person called and said there was overpayment yet you said you thought it's from someone else your alert no get name or details? While you kept harassing the fellow to pay when you are supposed to make a refund.
