Every weekend Ojez Bar, one of Lagos finest local bars plays host to thrill-seeking Lagosians, for its extraordinary vibe and homely service.

There’s often no standard menu here but once you’re seated, a bartender soon appears to gauge your mood and preference – and in minutes you’re deep into a plate of finger-licking Nkwobi and a second ice-cold bottle of Guinness.

Global social distancing restrictions means the livelihood of these hospitality professionals is currently crushed and Guinness Nigeria has offered to repay their cordiality.

The brand offered to send support packages to as many bartenders mentioned by consumers on social media. An official statement from Guinness Nigeria, via Twitter reads, “We have decided to #RaiseTheBar. To show our support to our bar community during this difficult time, we will send a special care package to bartenders and bar owners. Send us their names using the hashtag #RaiseTheBar and we will handle the rest.”
