Take the 5 milli course. Reasons: 1. It will take a person on a monthly salary of 100k, 50 months (a little above 4 years) to make 5 milli. That's, of course, if he doesn't pay taxes, house rent, etc.during that period which you and I know is impossible. 2. A lot can happen in 4 years considering the kinda clime we are in. 3. A bird at hand is always worth more. |

Karleb: .....what if his own business folds up? What if he got swindled? What if, what if. Men it is even risky to be alive. Both choices are laden with inherent risks. Such is life . That is why a prophet of God wisely said in the Bible "Man...........is of few days and full of troubles" Job 14:1. . |

Chai this question oo 5million of cos , with a job of 100k you will nearly save anything . You will spend it on tfare , food, clothing , bills at the end of the month . You will find it difficult to save ordinary 10k . And that same job you will work of over 4years to make 5million The choice is yours . Collect 5million and use it to establish your self , or work for 100k without savings |

My humble advice: He should get the money (5 million naira) and start up a business. In less than a year, he can be paying himself a salary that worth more than that amount. But collecting the job offer at the expense of the 5million may turnout to be a bad idea should the company sack him few months into the job if he is not giving them what his dead brother was. |

Honor10: And how many people do you reckon are business oriented? Do you know the statistics of failed sole proprietorship businesses? Do you know how many people have lavished money gotten from land sale in businesses that folded up in less than a year? Establishing yourself works if you have a clear feasible plan of where and how that money will be spent. The big question is does the guy have that? 2 Likes |

steveneche:Choose wisdom today. Collect that N5M, out of it N1M can get you FG job that pays above N100k with enough job security and opportunity to have a career, and side business as well as landed property and a small car to run around self (one u can register opay for side hustle). You collect N100k job and after 6months or 1 year they tell you they are retrenching due to recession and you happen to not meet requirement for you to be retained. He couldn't be his brother and won't be. Collect the money and chart his own course too. |

ManOfSteel2:Agree.. If He Has A Well Thought Out Business Model, Then The 5m Will Do U A Whole Lot Of Good In The Long Run As Opposed To Taking The Job Offer, Which Depending On Expenditure, Wont Serve U Best If U Tink Long Term. Eventually Ur Bills Catch Up 2 Ur Pay. As Robert Kiyosaki Puts It: "a Job Is Really A Short Term Solution To A Long Term Problem" Long Term Being My Point Of Emphasis. |

Dextre: But that's the problem though. Some people will probably not recover if they lose such amount of money after business failure. Taking business risks should be for risk-takers, not the general populace. Not everyone can survive as an entrepreneur. It's that simple. 1 Like |

Take the cash, come to abuja and get a job slot with a very good federal govt organization with 2.5million. Use d remaining 1.5 million to get an uber standard ride, register with uber, make your money and flex the remaining 1M. I think FIRS is presently issuing appointment letters try ur luck there. Its a cool place to work. 2 Likes |
