Shouldn't the focus be on the four refineries owned and controlled by the Nigeria government?

Typical nigerian mentallity.

You wont see the big picture rather, you use jealousy as a scare tactics.

When the time comes that you will have to beg dangote alone for survival, then you will know that jealousy is not the problem but common sense.

Lol I'm just wondering how dangote would compete with andorama port Harcourt

Refining of crude is not a every profitable venture at all ...unless u vertically integrate ...refine n sale at your own filling stations ...outside that it's not profitable at all

Petrochemical is where the real money is ...and we have a giant there already ...eleme Petro chemicals run by Indians ....unless government kills eleme dangote won't see Jack in this industry

Dangote has never done well in any industry he has competition at all

Maybe he would use government to get crude below cost price ...but that's not sustainable
don't let bigotry becloud ur judgment. His products are everywhere. At least I see dangote sugar, cement and salt being consumed everyday. The petrochemical market u mentioned is huge and diverse and am very sure is big enough both locally and internationally for many more players

his salt is not even number 1 in Nigeria (Mr chef is number 1).....his flour milling business has been recording loss for over three years and he has sold it to olam group... I don't believe he has Monopoly he has just use it big market share in some business like cement and sugar for his benefit and this has hurt Nigerians
Exactly!

what is the bigger picture?

Did he stop you from using your brain to make billions too or he told you no to build refinery if you want to?

Should they crush his company because others are too stupid and couldn't take the risks he has taken?

I bet you don't even know what monopoly means. You just hear people say it and you echo it everywhere. Dangote noodles was one of the biggest in the country after indomie, but it is not even there anymore because people don't just sit and complain about monopoly and did something to break it.

They want to use this trick to kill govt refineries and begin to concentrate on the private sector where all of them are share holders. There is God ooo....

They should go and sit in the Bush jare.
Same refinery Osunbade and Co indirectly used to campaign during election, claiming it would be functional by 2019, Nigeria won't import this and that.
The refinery doesn't look like what can produce kerosene by 2022 sef.

except indorama react smartly and build a refinery to enjoy whatsoever policies the government will be bringing to fore to help dangote(and his cohort politicians who contributedmoney to the project) ,i see government hurting their market by banning importation of their raw chemicals to cripple them or force them to run to Dangote for material supply
Don't you think it will be a good thing if government forces them to procure their materials from local sources instead of using importation as a conduit to repatriate profits and capital to their countries?

I think it's a sensible thing to do if you are patriotic as long as Dangote doesn't practice price gouging.

It's a petrochemical company ...located near port Harcourt refinary ....Oga there is no money ins refining Petro ...that's why it's most government project
If it isn't profitable, you think a large coporation like Dangote's will go through the trouble of borrowing internationally and sinking capital in such a long term investment?

I don't really think any other party can do it better; it will only give birth to a new set of cabals.
Nigeria needs reformatting..
Firstly, a new order of things must be designed for Nigeria after her recovery from a very catastrophic plague.
We must have regional heads or Nigeria breaks.
Because it might be difficult to achieve unanimous spirit of nationalism among the Nigerian people.
But if we must co-exist, we must maintain relative peace and accept each other warmly.
We must work to prove a "new point".
We must sack foreign religion and focus on our own culture, holding our arts, language, fabrics, morals, religion, etc. at the most envied esteem.
Hence, we are now ready to discuss what we think should be the next line of action.

Can they give room for competitors.
Dangote is really depreciating in some aspect and I don't know why he keeps delving into things that were not his original plan.

We accept but of it is as a form of monopolising the economy just for your individual gain then I say it's a big NO from me.
