Last week, Rivers State governor Wike demolished 2 hotels and ordered the arrest and subsequent isolation of PHED MD for disobeying government orders on lockdown.

Many said he actions were taken too far and call him emperor Wike while others commended him for taking actions instead of paying lip service.

We are not ripe for state police.wike does not have powers to demolish the structures. He should have directed the police to seal the hotels and then go to court.

Until we have independent institutions in Nigeria, some of these policies will not work

Wike is right, the hotels management couldn't Obey the executive order thereby using them as an example to others..... don't think any hotel would be open in Wike's state till after the COVID 19 Pandemic.
