Still on the topic. For me. My Girl friend back in school broke up with me on my birthday. She just took me into the kitchen during the party in my house and told me straight up. We never quarreled or whatsoever. As soon as I came out of the kitchen, I was as light as a feather. I just managed to patch myself till the event was over. Since that day I stopped loving. I only care to avoid stories that touch the kidney and it has worked for me. That day was my worst day.

Wouldn't forget that fateful day Sophia came uninvited to the lodge, which was coincidentally my birthday, although no official party was thrown.

Was a hot sunny day, so needed to get some drinks to stock up the little refrigerator.
Quickly dashed out with a few Naira notes, but Sophia insisted she wanted to "follow".

Convinced me, we should get ourselves a treat but I've already spent the little cash on me. Insisted we go, that bills will be on her.
Only to "level" two complete servings of fried rice, chicken and plantain, later claiming she couldn't find her purse...

Had to call a neighbour to come over with some cash because the bouncers they summoned were rude and embarrassing. Quickly paid off my own bills and forgot I came with "aunty".

A stranger wished me a happy birthday, none of my friends did. Some of my family members seemed to have forgotten.
I cried myself to sleep that day.

2011 when I was in SS2, my then girlfriend, (Ex now) was in FGGC SS3... She's very exposed and a daughter to one of the Adviser to the Governor.
She promise to take care of my birthday expenses and I should come with my friends!
I became so happy and told my friends about how the birthday gonna be... So on that day, I came wit my 4friends along her 4friends all in total we were 10 in number!!

One year, some of my relatives forgot & some wished me a happy birthday much later in the day. To put it mildly, I wasn't too thrilled. I'm still smarting about it to this day because I never "forget" birthdays of close family members.
