Mixed reactions in Adamawa have trialed the former Vice President Atiku Abubakar loss in the PDP Presidential primaries held in Abuja Thursday.

While many jubilate over the crash of Atiku Abubakar, others wore gloomy faces and expressed disappointment at the loss of their son to clinch the sole ticket of the PDP for the presidential elections.

Speaking to Vanguard on condition of anonymity, they described as disgusting the loss of Atiku Abubakar, descrining the chance missed as possibly Atiku’s last attempt for the presidential race.

They were of the view that the crash out of the PDP northern consensus candidate was more annoying as he even lost out in his home state of Adamawa, describing the scenario as a signal that the former vice president is almost fizzling out of politics.

Others observed that the defeat of Atiku Abubakar in Thursday’s PDP National Convention dated back to between 1999 and 2007 when he was the vice president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and his impact was not felt much in his state of Adamawa.

Atiku's campaign was sectional an extremly devisive. He gave the impression that Southerners were not important in Nigerian politics.
We need to bury such politics forever and be more encompassing of East, North, South and west. No Nigerian is a slave or water carrier for the other.
Lets sieze this moment to reintroduce love for one another back into our politics and everyday life.
