Benwallt:The surge for the agencies is more in Lagos than at Abuja and Lagos is a place where they’ve been established and functioning properly for as long as they’ve existed. They know who they attend to, they know what’s best for them and know how well to manage themselves.. Saying all aviation agencies should relocate to Abuja within 45 days is like teasing these agencies and whynin Lagos state.. I guess the Northern region wants to build the region well but they should do so from their personal brain and hardwork, not camouflaging under “Federal power” as they’re doing... Southwest remains what it is even though we have people that constantly sabotage the Southwest collective efforts 6 Likes 2 Shares |

Why can't the useless government build a bigger office at Abuja? Must you concentrate all our labours to Abuja? Why not River? Onitsha? Ibadan? Ondo? Enugu? Or Owerri?? Shame on Nigeria 2 Likes |

SOPoftoday:Just imagine the nonsense; implementing a 2012 directive in 2020. They ask them to relocate within 45days, then they'll claim to spend billions on logistics due to inconveniences & miscellaneous reasons. Why can't they wait till the inter-state travel ban is removed |

mmsen:Oga the fact that Abuja is the federal capital doesn't mean everything should be situated there. Lagos is the aviation hub of Nigeria, so it's only fair that they have their headquarters there. Washington DC is the capital of the US, does it mean every parastatal is situated there? 2 Likes 1 Share |

Wow. Akinola Aguda self inflicted disease. Before long, Murtala Mohammed’s Airport Lagos may be ordered relocated to Abuja. The UK, US, China etc don’t have all headquarters of government departments in the capital city. Since Akinola Aguda was ‘commissioned’ by a northern military dictator to remove Nigeria’s political capital from Lagos to Fulani controlled north, even federal government buildings in Lagos have been rotting away. |

You needed to travel to the UK, US, Germany or even to China to understand that federal government institutions and parastatals are distributed nationwide. What costs are you saving by concentrating every Nigerian government ministry and parastatal in one place in this age of advanced information technology? mmsen: 1 Like |

Amah70: The UK is not a federal republic. And Nigeria does not have the technological or telecommunications infrastructure of those nations. So your argument is doubly moot. Moreso, you don't just move offices to a place for the sake of it. Especially during a time when you need to decrease expenditure. The reasoning given for this move is clearly stated and yet here you have Nigerians arguing against it with no valid reason. This is the problem with Nigeria. If you were running a business would you open offices all over the place for no reason and decreasing income? |

What a lawless country. A federal directive was given since 2012, eight years later it's yet to be implemented by the organizations. Since 60% of flight operations are undertaken by Lagos airport, then operational headquarters should remain in Lagos while the management should move to Abuja. |

Ezennwa: Playing the victim card as usual, for the gullible like yourself ...... There are agencies headquartered in the east but AS GREEDY FOLKS YOU ARE EVERYTHING MUST BE IN THE EAST.... we are ONE NIGERIA,only south easterners want out because they lost out in the power game and would rather scatter everything because of that..... The infuriating reality for you folks is that since 2015 you've been playing this victim card, you have lost 2 general elections and most of non easterners that initially have some sympathy for you are tired already of your nonsense 2 Likes |

mmsen: Is Port Harcourt the only place in the South South? Guess you have nothing to say. So the reason of not having their operational base in Lagos is not enough reason?
