If we could build Abuja from scratch, Build Banana Island and Eko Atlantic from nothing but Sea that we dredged , then I think we personally hinder our own development in Nigeria 3 Likes 1 Share |

This is where 40 percent of oil money goes to. 10 percent goes into state development. The rest are looted. 1 Like |

Abuja developed really fast. Anybody who grew up there will tell you 1995-2005 was the best time to live in Abuja. All of those kids know themselves till this day and 80% of them have all left the country. Most were born in the 80s. Abuja then was quiet, fun, secured, no traffic and mostly inhabited by the wealthy, politicians, military, diplomats, business men and upper middle class civil servants. You can drop a needle and you will hear it, that's how quiet it was. 95-1999 felt like military barrack in a good way; you will see military trucks every 10 mins passing. They were friendly and never molesting civilians. 5 Likes 3 Shares |

Nearly 30 yrs after IBB moved to Abuja, still the city is just 40% developed. Corruption from the onset retards its speedy development |
