President Goodluck Jonathan is putting machineries in place to meet with former Vice president Atiku Abubakar, former president Ibrahim Babangida, top Northern Leaders and all aggrieved members of the Peoples Democratic Party in a bid aimed at cementing a common front for the April general elections.

This is even as he declared that there was no victor and no vanquished at the end of the PDP’s primaries that produced his candidacy as the flag bearer of the party ahead of the presidential elections in April 2011.

Also, General Ibrahim Babangida, a frontline supporter of Atiku Abubakar’s presidential bid, has congratulated President Goodluck Jonathan on winning the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP presidential ticket.

The greatest mistake GEJ will make is to under-estimate IBB and his ilks. THe presidency is still not in the bag so I do not agree with you because of the need for strategic planning. Even Niger and Zamfara you mentioned are vital. Every vote counts. Again iof you think that OBJ is no more politically relevant, bros you better have another think coming. Desperadoes are the worst people to deal with, they have a Samsonic complex. Careful with such as they might prefer sinking the boat with themselves on board than losing out completely the way Samson did.
