I have noticed several videos online and news outlets portraying many churches as disobedient to the FG and SGs directives on social distancing. These churches are wrong to have flouted the directive(s) but I am surprised that the same energy is not directed at the mosques.

In my area of residence, mosques also disobey the social distancing guideline. This is done in the full glare of the police men who were deployed to this area. Also, it is worse on Fridays where thousands (no exaggeration here) gather to worship and everyone is aware of this. Why are mosques not being punished for also flouting the social distancing rule?

Perhaps its because no one has reported them.

Or people are scared of reporting them for fear of violence or fear of being attacked?

Why are the security operatives turning a blind eye?
Maybe government is supporting them. The government doesn't like Christians.

MUSLIMS ARE VIOLENT WHILE CHRISTIANS ARE TOLERANT IN NATURE. Attack any mosque and face the music.

All I'll say is this...if people want to flout the rules, they will eventually suffer the consequences.

The benefit of obeying the law this time is that the risk of infection is minimized.

That's true but at least the law enforcement officers and COVID 19 taskforce are meant to enforce adherence without favoritism or fear.

Anybody that wants to disobey the social distancing and stay at home directive does so at his/her own risk. Corona Virus is no respecter of religion or tribe, any reasonable individual does not need to be arrested before he or she does what is right. Lastly there's no need bringing competition and politics into this because everybody will definitely have to paddle his boat.
