imonisweet:He was generalizing that's the issue. Our revenue ain't even up to a quarter of that amount here in a community were we beg parents to pay fees and some even run away after learning. Yet my Dad doesn't owe any of his teacher....after paying we have peanuts as left over 3 Likes |

emmanuelewumi: there is enough money in running a school, it is one of the best investment if you have the time and resources i have a friend that is a school proprietor and also teaches, he said he makes profit of about ten million every term after staff salaries and every expenses he built his duplex within six months and drives a car of about three million, and he doesn't have any other bussiness. modified: he makes more money during external exams |

Nonso92: If that is the case please help me beg them to STOP online lessons. How can you owe your teachers for almost 2 months and still want them to be coming to school 3 times in a week. Is it not wickedness? |

Gemineye: Load of crap. Hear the son of a headmaster throwing curse words all over the forum. I'm sure you didn't get much discipline from him. Do me a favour, tout : tell your dad, he ain't nothing but a slave driver. You don't see anything wrong with this situation because you're just like him, lacking in character. The apple afterall doesn't fall far from the tree. Like father, like son. Shior! |

klenton: How long has he been running, the school? You can also go and start if you think it is easy and you have the temperament to cope with the challenges... A lot go on, that some people won't go into due to their beliefs and values. Some make good money in secondary School businesses from exam malpractices, miracle and expo centres for GCE and JAMB. Some are equally diabolic, there are desperate school owners who went through this route that a pupil or a teacher must die every term in order to renew their blood money convenants. All the same, follow your instinct if the business is right for you. 4 Likes |

klenton: Salaries are to be paid from tuition fees. The school owner can have other side businesses eg book shop whose income is seasonal, from which he should pay his book shop attendants or pay something to the teachers who helped during the book sales which is usually for a period of two months or less in a year |

private schools with savings packages for their staff like some faith based schools are paying half salaries to their staff from savings/gratuity scheme. if we survive after this covid 19 , all private schools should be mandated to save 20% of each staff salary as a policy, 1 Like |

sonizzyroyalz: Now, this is a school that cares about its workers. I know three Catholic schools around here who did the same. Let no mumu come here dey give lame excuses for not helping their workers with a little something under the yeye pretext that they have other expenses to cater to. You've exploited them all these years, paying monkey salary and can't even try to show up for them just a little bit in these hard times? What use is you and your school |
