The mentally deranged and disabled people have been neglected in our society today which is bad. If you look around, the number of such persons is at an alarming rate. Its no doubt that they can be very aggressive and difficult to handle most of the times but that doesn't mean we should leave them to themselves.
The mentally deranged do and say things that they think is normal and why? Because their brains aren't functioning perfectly well.
The society have gone a long way to increase the chance of them being depressed by our stigmatization.
Most people don't really want to associate with them and we often do become judgemental to their face when we come across them which is bad. Even if we don't speak to them a smile will at least go a long way to brighten their day. And if that's too difficult to give out then why don't we just go our ways without been spiteful to them.
'Lady and master all perfect'; will a strand of hair remove from your head if you render a kind gesture to them? Absolutely No besides being caring to them cost nothing. If you can't be loving to them then why don't you just leave them alone in peace and continue with your normal life as though they don't exist. At least that won't hurt either.
Most of them are easily depressed due to our actions and reaction towards them besides majority of them didn't choose to be disabled (abnormal) or mentally deranged but circumstances of life are quite uncertain. Unfortunately most of them aren't even born that way and living and adapting to that new state of life hurts them most and it would be cruel to add to their pains by our actions.
If you observe closely there's always one particular person that they all listen to. Close relatives ought to identify that person or if possible become that person that they can relate with and share their thoughts with (even though it isn't easy) and am certain that it will go a long way to reduce their rate of depression.
The families of such persons shouldn't relent in praying and seeking solutions for them. They should also try to boost their confidence continually. They can also acquire skills(hand works) which will be helpful to them. It's high time we start being practical in our dealings with them and am quite certain they can attain great heights. If we are supportive enough, I strongly believe that our actions, words of love and kind gestures will go a long way to help these individuals mentally.
