Are you looking for a slave or what?? One naira per word is way too small. That's just N50k for 50,000 words. Please if you're human act like one. If I know your company personally, I'll make sure you guys are arrested. The standard rate is N5 per word. That's the least for Nigerian writers

Couldn't have said it better. Local freelance writers in Nigeria receive peanut for their intellectual property compared to their counterparts in saner climes. This anomaly has got to stop and to that effect writers should stop selling themselves short. They should charge according to their worth.
People like OP are the reason why i am gradually loosing interest in working for local writing agents.

The high rate of unemployment and, of course, greed, are just a few of the factors sustaining this painful trend.
