At least they have a leverage to protest against police harassment, what about the common men that have been constantly harassed and brutalized by the men in uniform. 1 Like |

Nigerian police single handedly ssbotaged all efforts to fight this corona scourge.. From collecting bribes from motorists during the lockdown and allowing them to move, to extorting innocent citizens especially those on essential duties, to harassing farmers and trucks conveying food materials, to killing innocent people... They are irredeemably corrupt and irresponsible! 1 Like |

The Nigerian police force is outdated and a throwback to the days of slavery! They need to be reformed as well as nigeria and it’s many public ministries! Nigeria needs to be reformed now!!!! |

They intentionally blocked the Lagos/Ibadan expressway last night for 3hrs. I spoke with a doctor that has been on duty and needed to go rest. Why are we now punishing ourselves? If you conduct typhoid or malaria test on Nigerians, there maybe close to 50m infected with both viruses....some get it treated, some unlucky few die. I seem not to understand why this Corona is closing down everything. Anyone with symptoms should go for test, if positive get treated. If lucky survive if not move on first we see you later. Mask should be mandatory on buses, marketplace etc plus other hygiene practices that's all.....are we going to close down the country forever? |

That's their business. They've been going to work and people are still dying, (even more than some black nations). So what difference will sitting at home make? Police are harrasing everybody, why should their own be different? Oh! Because they have MBBS degree. Drs in Nigeria just want to be worshipped and seen like God. Sha, e concern people whe get Corona virus 1 Like |

They know that Buhari is not available till two weeks time. The vacuum President have returned to great beyond. Who is Buhari for police to obey his order? The living or the death one. This stupid action of those in authority is the reason why ipob and Nnamdi kanu now sound as prophet and custodians of truth. |

packman: Bro, leave matter for Matthias ooo... The only sane language the govt understands is What they are doing. Am not in support as well, but with the way they r being harassed, if nothing is done, we may soon read in the news... "Police officer enforcing lockdown, mistakenly shoot a doctor on duty to death" and someone like you will come here to run commentary. 3 Likes 2 Shares |

Safe to say that 95% of the policemen in the country are illiterate and cannot really comprehend when a directive is issued. I saw this coming when the SGF ordered the police to enforce strictly the curfew. They can't think out of the box to understand the request and how to execute it. References: |

I thought it is only in Rivers State that medical personnel are harassed. A woman lost her life in Port Harcourt few days ago because of this. She was taken to the state owned teaching hospital but there was no doctor to attend to her and she died. The doctor might have stayed at home because of this unreasonable police harassment. But they will not stop so called Almajiris from crossing state borders down to the south. National Assembly should please rise up to their responsibility and address this and other sensitive issues. 1 Like |
