Exercise in Futility!

Ogun State Under Amosun Did The Same, And It Didn't Stand.

For Those Talking About Court Cases;

APC has learnt his lessons....No Court Would Try That Rubbish Again...Because APC Will Be Ahead Of Them All...

What Will Happen: Obaseki Will Only Be Contesting That He Is The Authentic Candidate Of The APC Via Indirect Primaries, While Iyamu Will Contesting His Via Direct Primaries...

None of them will ask for annulment of the Primaries in Court...

Head or Tail APC Will Participate,...

Lol, Apc might end up not having candidate if they fail to meet the deadline.

Tho i think it's not possible for the Edo apc to reject the recommendation of NWC
lols NWC is the body to decide mode of primary and appointment delegates to over see it.
Have u forgotten so quick.cheesy

Rocha's , and Amosun conducted their own indirect primaries against NWC decision at the End oshomole submitted the names of the winners of direct election conducted by his delegates

Obaseki better wise up and change strategy. Edo State chapter of the party lacks the power to decide the mode of primary. If the NWC has decided to adopt direct election, he should mobilize his supporters and participate in the direct primary.

Staying away from the NWC ordered election and conducting his own indirect election is a losing strategy. It did not work for all those that tried it in 2019, it won’t work in 2020.

Obaseki is running faster than his shadow.. The Electoral Law has mandate the NWC of parties to submit the names of party nominees.. Obaseki should learn from Imo and Ogun state where Inec only accept the names submitted by NWC of the parties. By sponsoring the state excos to go against the NWC directives will be his early downfall because by the time He will move from one court to another the time to submit and exchane names will have elapse.. As it is now the odds are not in Obaseki's favor. Interesting time ahead in Edo APC.

He's downfall will be worse than Ambode, reason been that Ambode did not have any Abuja Godfather fighting for him. Obaseki has tried everything to bring Oshiomhole down to the extent of using the late COS and the cabal to remove Oshiomhole as the party chairman but now He has failed. If He like himself he should just send one of his trusted man to another party to obtain the parrty nomination while He is still fighting the APC battle so that when He lost out in APC He can go to that party and swap the nomination. Obaseki is fighting and shooting his bullets all at once.

The Edo state chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Friday said it is adopting the indirect primary method for the emergence of the party’s flagbearer in the September 19, 2020 governorship election in the state.

The National Working Committee (NWC) had in the early hours of Friday said it has adopted direct primary option, where all registered party members will elect for the governorship flagbearer.

However, speaking with DAILY INDEPENDENT, Anselm Ojezua, Edo state chairman of APC said the NWC lacks the power to impose the direct method on the state as the National Executive Committee (NEC) had clearly stated that each state is at liberty to adopt any method it prefers.

According to him, stakeholders in Edo APC just concluded a crucial meeting where they adopted the indirect or delegate primary method.

He said: “The NWC cannot decide the mode of the primary. The decision of the National Executive Committee (NEC) is very clear and that is, every state will choose the mode of primary it wants and notify the NWC for them to act on.”

“In that regard, we have just concluded our meeting here today, made up of the State Executive Committee and the statutory national delegates to the convention.

“We have adopted the indirect primary method as the preferred mode for the governorship election. We are preparing the resolution and very soon, we will prepare a statement to that effect,” he said.

I thought some people said Obaseki will win.Why is he afraid of Direct Primary?

Either way, Obaseki looses because is the National Chairman that INEC recognizes in term of submission of Candidate
The party constitution is very clear it is the state the chooses the pattern of primary ,oshiom is just wasting his time.

But NWC has erred by choosing the pattern of the primaries, they dont have the right to.The Constitution clearly states that it is the state chapters that can choose the pattern of primaries.

The NWC didn’t erred. It is now that it’s the turn of Edo people want to change the rule. In Bayelsa APC lost out because it is the NWC not the NEC that determine the mode of primary and submitted the names to INEC. In Ogun and Imo NWC decide the mode of primary. What the Edo APC are doing now is just effort in futility. Obaseki should start sponsoring another party so that after the APC primary he can just move to that party. All odds are against Obaseki the day Oshiomhole escaped his removal as the party chairman and the death of Abba Kyari.

Exactly my thought.

Because in the end, they will approach the court for interpretation.

And they court is likely to rule both of them illegal because while NWC cannot impose on the state, based on NEC decision to allow them liberty, the state SEC of the party also had no power to disobey the NWC decision.

Like Rivers, shall it be in Edo.
