An agreement between Djibouti and Ethiopia about the construction of a canal stretching from the red sea to Ethiopia through Djibouti would create ten of thousands of jobs and boost the economy of both countries. See the map

I guess China's gonna be funding this as well? It's gonna give Ethiopia that access to the Sea that it hasn't had since '93 when Eritrea seceded but I don't think both countries have the financial muscle to pull it off. In walks... you know who.
