English football club Liverpool, have Reportedly ended their pursuit of Lepzig star Striker Timo Werner.

Werner have been linked with a move to Anfield since the turn of the new year and the German international has expressed his desire to sign for the premier league Champions elect.

Head coach Jurgen Klopp has also held close door meeting with Werner and his agent in recent months.

But as things stands, Leipzig are demanding a sum of $60m for the services of Werner and will not negotiate a price tag below that amount.

It’s also understood that due to the Coronavirus pandemic, the reds now value Werner significantly below $30m and will not go beyond that price.

The reds also expect more from new signing Minamino next season with the Former Salzburg star still adapting to Jurgen Klopp’s tactics.

Rivals such as Manchester United and Chelsea have also expressed interest in Werner but they too know the transfer market has been turned on its head, and will also refuse to meet the exit clause.

Liverpool are bracing themselves for a tough summer of transfer business with Adam Lallana, Dejan Lovren and Xherdan Shaqiri all likely to depart the club at the end of the season.

Werner has Scored 21 Goals and provided seven Assit in 28 Bundesliga appearnces this season.
