We love Twitter's stance on this one.

This tweet violated The Twitter's Rule about glorifying violence, Tribalism and Religion shenanigans....

Professionalism @ it's peak.

A social media company that works.

A company that respect the rules they lay down and ALL MEMBERS must follow even if you are the President of The United States Of America.

#RESPECT.

#DoubleTuale

Our moderators are trying in this part of the world also,
we can't take that away from them.
It is not easy moderating 'SOME' Nigerians.
Slow and steady we will get to this point also.
Respect to the moderators here too!

kiss

Say No More!

I disagree there is so much tribalism and maybe violence and racism on twitter. They were only concerned about trumps response to the violent protests and attack on the mayor. Whereas many people and politicians have attacked trump on twitter with all sorts and for all sorts. Not fair fact checking.

In a manner, if the SM decides to censor free speech, they no longer should have legal immunity from prosecution. This is why Seun needs to remove all Mods from this forum. Your disclaimer runs at cross purposes from you also having moderators.

My point exactly, Twitter and co including Nairaland are becoming politically aligned.

Plus they have a disclaimer which states “you are responsible for what you post and the site is not liable” yet they go about censoring posts that they don’t feel comfortable with. Make them stand for one place.

And to those comparing it with what Buhari wanted to do I’m not surprised, comprehension has never been APShit supporters forte.

If it's Trump, it's a right move. If it's Buhari, he is a despot, a tyrant and a tribalistic religious bigot.

Wehdone ma.

BTW, he is just joking. That executive order is DOA.

I suppose I should also have mentioned those who also pretend to be Puritan despite the obvious. We have one currently ruling the country. So once again, where do they find people like you for real? Are you guys born or are you guys made?

Your comment reeks of pain and envy. So, suya merchants are not employers of labour? Really? How naive can you be? grin

Buhari wanted to censor Nigerians just like Twitter tried to censor Trump. Why is it that we don't like saying the obvious truth? Trump only tried to make it difficult for Twitter and other SM to censor free speech, whereas, Buhari tried to gag Nigerians from free speech. All these Government school ex students on this forum is tiresome.

You don't have free speech in another's man's house.

When you sign up to use an online service, you agree to abide by their terms and conditions.

If Trump doesn't like Twitter rules, he should create his own.

at no point did Buhari sponsor any bill relating to social media in the two houses, not once did he sign an executive order relating to social media( al his 8 executive orders don't even relate to social media)... Senator Abdulahi that reintroduce the social media bill is from Niger State and not in anyway related to Buhari... stop all this petty lies against your President, that's evil

That is exactly how section 230 in the US is drafted to work. For the owner of the site to claim the defense afforded by section 230, they must make a fair attempt to moderate their platform.

The EO from Trump is not worth the paper it is written on and Trump knows it, he is just praying that he can use it to scare twitter, but it does not appear to be working.

Section 230 is an Act of Congress, Trump can’t change it with an EO....hence you heard him say his Attorney General will work on the new ‘legislation’ with congress to make the new laws. We know only Congress work on legislation, so his proposed changes will not make it into law.

The other avenue through FTC to propose new policies have it’s challenges as the FTC reports to Congress and not the White House and new policies take years and go through public hearings.

This is just Trump tantrum, hoping that twitter will allow him to run loose on their platform.

As we told you earlier,
The 2 main characteristics of wailers are hypocrisy and lying.
It's in them, just like Peak Milk.
Just imagine the trash the boy typed, and some brainwashed kids will actually believe his trash.
Just like the young pretty girl that quoted us yesterday,
Saying PDP paid all of Nigeria's debt before PMB became president and the looting party left the country in so much wealth,
She actually said it so convincing with her little, young, church mind!
She wasn't trying to be bitchy or insulting about it.
She was 100% sure that was the reality! shocked
We can only imagine the kind of people she lives with, that have fed her with so much lies.
We simply gave her a short reply trying to educate her young, innocent mind.

These online losers will type Lies that with time,
will start feeling like the truth to their ears
Pathetic!
