The presidency yesterday denied that president Goodluck Jonathan's children have been attending school when other pupils are on the forced holiday ordered by govt because of the ongoing voter registration. But the American International School (AISA), Abuja, which two of the president's children attend, has been in session since the govt gave the order. The school closed down on Tuesday, on the govt's order, it was gathered, but there is no official confirmation. AISA's defiance of the govt directive to schools was reported on Tuesday by a national daily. The 2nd term resumption date, earlier extended from jan. 10 to Feb.4, was change to jan. 31. Following the report, some proprietors have reported dclined to obey the govt order. They inclue those managing AISA. But when the nation visited the school yesterday, it was shut. A notice, "school is closed" was placed at the school entrance. Two officials say the school was closed down on Tuesday evening following media reports . . . American International School (AISA), even our president know that our own indigenous schools are not up to par and won't school his children there.

How a man chooses to raise his children is his business, however your C-in-C attempted to portray the facts as though his kids attend a regular Nigerian school in a bid to win supporters. AISA is not a Nigerian school, not by a long shot. _{Nobody would have given a hoot if he didn't open his mouth and announce that his that his kids school in Nigeria anyways.}

By the way, people are complaining because of the apparent double standards that seem to apply in this instance.
