Nigeria and partisanship, can any one enumerate the issues between Osho and Obaseki. Are those issues germane to the development of Edo state. If godfatherism and imposition is one of the issues, did Osho not boasted to have eliminated godfather-ism in Edo state, why not allow same principle apply with Obaseki. It is never about Edo's development but about selfish motives. Let the God's chosen one win. Kudos to the Oba of Benin, who never involves the throne in partisanship. Politicians are viruses. |

muffyt05:What gave Fashola the tickets for APC Gubernatorial Candidate was that he enjoyed the popularity and acceptability of party members, executives and civil servants not Lagosians. Lagosians only boost his chances in getting elected in INEC conducted elections. Without the party accepting you, you cannot present yourself to the citizens. Ambode was never accepted by the party executives, majority of the members and civil servants, even when it becoming like shameful thing to Tinubu not to accept the plead of Buhari and his respected political actors, it is too late to change the stakeholders mindset. Ambode make matter worse by publicly calling Sanwolu as a psychiatric patient that is yet to be totally cured. Obaseki is worst than Ambode, shun the national executive peace move, plan the removal of the Party national chairman, write off all state Party executives and loyalists, etc...All those that he can run to including Tinubu, he has once insulted them. But in politics, anything can happen... Let see how Oyegun who want to score political scores with Oshiomole and has been the brain behind Obaseki's political blunders goes. 4 Likes |

Congrats321: That is war now, you declare war on Nigeria, you expect Nigeria to play tinko with you before, are you for real. When the Biafran occupiers began to lose ground, their paranoia increased. Each set back on the battlefield was blamed on saboteurs, and in the desperate circumstances of continual retreat, the policies of the Biafrans turned to draconian, inhumane solutions. The murder of non-Igbos intensified. In Abudu, over 300 bodies were found in the Ossiomo River and on 20 September 1967, many non-Igbos were slaughtered at Boji-Boji Agbor. And at Asaba, Ibusa and Agbor non-Igbos were taken into custody by Biafran soldiers and transported in two lorries to a rubber plantation along the Uromi-Agbor Road where they were put to death. Newsweek, in one of its reports titled “The Resurrection of Biafra,” stated that “some of the worst massacres of the war, in fact, occurred when federal troops captured minority regions -where upon the minority tribesmen turned on the Ibos in bloody fury.” References: Centre for Research on Globalization / Centre de recherche sur la mondialisation. Congrats321:Kindly check the meaning of massacre in your dictionary, massacre is not killing only one person, didn't Biafra killed unarmed civilian in minorities regions? Killing of one person is not massacre When the Biafran occupiers began to lose ground, their paranoia increased. [quote author=martineverest post=90174192] Na wa o, a governor that has hundreds of seasoned advisers he pays makes an important political visitation and consultation, while you sit at home and read news on Nairaland is saying the visit is not necessary. I wonder how you think you know more than a governor. 3 Likes |

Blackmann001: When OBJ/PDP made agreement with Afenifere to vote him for second term only Tinubu stood his ground against it and after the election PDP won 5 states in the west but AD/Tinubu won only Lagos state. After then Tinubu created 37 LGAs more in the state for governance to be closer to the people and OBJ stopped the LGA allocation coming to Lagos for almost 4 years even when the court ask him to release the funds. Today the reason Afenifere is always against Tinubu is because immediately PDP gained access to 5 states in the west, they did all they can to have Tinubu back and He told them that they can come together if they can bring back the 5 States AD lost due to their greed. During this period Tinubu left AD to start AC and gradually the party started gaining ground in the west, later he merged with other parties to form ACN and now APC. [b] Tinubu May be the most corrupt politician from the west [b] but he is more relevant in politics than OBJ in the west. Anytime any day. 3 Likes 1 Share |
