We love chasing clout in this country, of course black lives matter, but our country is currently on life support, charity begins at home, we need to put our house together before telling others to arrange theirs.

Africans in Africa are not exactly regarded as humans, but the ones outside Africa in societies where the rule of law applies tend to claim and defend their rights

All the nonsense about white man's supremacy and brutality can only end when a black man begins to make his own rules, formulas, policies and walk his own walk..

All this people that stage this protest are part of the problem we have in this country.. Like WTF we have more pressing matters than this but no there ITK and copy copy nature just make them stupid..

Why can't they use same protest for what really matters. If we ask them to come and protest against our government they won't come out but can come out for what isn't really affecting us..

If I be Sanwo Olu or Buhari, I go order make police shoot all of them dead at that spot...

If you think your job, daily bread, fun, that ends with you is more important that the collective destiny of all black people all over the world, ....think again!

I'm amused at our selfishness and myopia that have brought us to where we are as blacks in the comity of nations.

I'm shocked at the self-centredness of anyone who doesn't seem to realize that injury to one is injury to all.

This is a misplace priority. I expect them to protest about injustice, police brutality, corruption, killings, etc that is troubling and ravaging us in Nigeria

Things are not going well in this country and you are not showing concerns but you are showing concerns about what doesn't concern you in another country. Are we normal in this country at all?

ExAngel007:

Nigerians braved the rain to protest the
murder of George Floyd and to call for an end
to racial injustice.

The protest was organised by the Black Lives
Matter Movement in Nigeria (BLMMN). The
convener, Josephine Okpara, stormed the
streets of Victoria Island, Lagos, with other
protesters.

They carried placards with words such as
"Black Lives Matter" and "Justice For George
Floyd" written on them as they condemned
the killing of African Americans in the United
States of America.

The protest comes after George Floyd died on
May 25, 2020, after Minneapolis officer Derek
Chauvin knelt on his neck for nearly 9
minutes during an arrest.

Speaking on behalf of the group, convener,
Josephine Okpara said the US must put an
end to “white supremacy and build local
power to intervene in violence inflicted on
black communities by the state and
vigilantes”.

Nigerians across various social media
platforms were not impressed by the protest.
They mentioned that we have more pressing
issues in the country to protest and they
criticized the protesters.

See below.

GUYS! If it doesn't matter to you that blacks are killed like chickens in the States,...

and treated with less respect than bush meat, ...

It will matter to your children whose destiny is tied to bigger places like the US.

And you'll be a terrible parent to have no foresight along that direction.

These countries were built with the sweat and hard labor of our forefathers, and we're still enriching this land till date.
If you don't realize that you've got the right to enjoy the good of these lands, as they're still extracting valuables - human and mineral resources - from Africa, ...then think again.

Our leaders are in bed with them, so that's the little we can do - hashtags, protests, raise the topic everywhere every time.
Common!

Thunder fire all those people involved in that protest.

I wish a petrol tanker exploded in their midst.

Nonsense!
