No matter the offence of individual, eternal hell is not justified. Even Hitler atrocities does not warrant eternal hell.

Definitely yes, you can compare a footballer and a professor.

...but the education you acquired made you debunked the dumbest thing you ever known.

Even if you didn't work with what you study, it opens up future opportunities. Even if you study engineer and work as a radio presenter, to get employed, you need that paper you read for.

An illiterate may have the capital but remember he needs professional advice; knowledge he doesn't own, value that is being paid for.

You seem not to get the meanings of education and literacy .
Literacy does not NECESSARILY mean how to read and write one; as education does not necessarily mean to acquire 'western ' form learning. This is just what the western world wants us to think it is.

Education is the acquiring of knowledge, in any form, whether formally or informally. Literacy is the ability to apply the gained knowledge to a situation.
This will guide u: there are people who went to school, that's 'educated' but when they apply the supposed gained knowledge, we see the illiteracy in them.
So did u mean to say that before the whites encountered the blacks, the blacks were uneducated and illiterates? Of course not.
This is the picture that Achebe paints in his 'Things Fall Apart' ;Africans were literate and education before the encounter with the blacks. Same picture is painted in the movie 'Black Panther ' .

My view though; subjected to debate.

This might not be related. But when I was younger, my brothers and I would visit our neighbor- a single man staying downstairs to chill with him. We would talk about so many things, the man will play the keyboard and ask us to sing one after the other.

One day, we were arguing about something in his house, we didn't know the man was recording it.

When we finished arguing, he played it. When I hear someone say the same thing I said, I will shout, you see, exactly what I said, I was right. When it gets to my brothers' turn they will do the same. It was after some minutes we realized it was our voices. If you see how we burst into laughter. That was our introduction to recording.

Chai, I miss those days, before the man married one annoying lady that will be frowning as if someone is quarreling with her. That's how we stopped going there. Women cef!

As a kid, whenever I accompanied my uncle to the post office to post a letter in my town, I used to think the letter always passed through the box to lagos directly by itself.

Whenever my milk tooth pulled out, if I declined to add some stones and throw it on top of the roofing sheets without making sound, I'd think my tooth would grow again.

I used to think white men who were teachers in the secondary school in my town weren't defecating at all.

Being a kid was the most fun part of my life. It was also the time when i believe alot of dumb things which i later realise in life were all false. Some were spread by my parents, relatives, siblings, and friends to make us afraid or control us.

When I was a kid I used to believe that

1. Rubber band sucks blood

2. That fish swims in one's belly upon consumption.

3. Lucozade and maltuna are for sick people.

4. I believe when you take mango and at the same time drink garri it will kill you.

5. When i eat food in the night, i am eating with the devil.

6. Wen I swallow gum it will tie my intestine and I will die.

7. If I swallow any seed the tree will grow on my head

8. There is grinding machine in my stomach that digest the food i eat.

9. I thought trees moves backwards wen you are in a moving car.

10. If i wash my school uniform on sunday, it won't dry at all

11. God usually comes down to collect offering.

12. Any food that falls on the ground is already eaten by the devil.

13. If lizard see my tooth that is missing it will not grow again

14. If u bite me and I mix chicken shit n red oil all your teeth will remove.

15. That women gave birth through their navel.

16.If u point burial ground. Something bad will happen to you

17.If u drag a stick on the ground while walking. Your mama will give birth to snake.

18. I use to believe all pot belly men are rich.

19. I use to think that all black people will go to hell because devil is black and White people will go to heaven because Jesus is white.

20. Satan was right under my feet.

21. Any time u mistakenly cut ur self and blood is coming out you should start sucking it so that your blood will not finish.

22. I use to believe eating head of ice fish together with the eyes will make my eyes big as well.

23. If u jump/cross me,I will not grow again.

24. If u flog a girl with broom, she will not marry.

25 when i was a kid i used to think the moon follows me wherever i go as i was getting older the Story changed that all streets have there own moon lol.

26. When you dont go to church on sunday and u stay alone at home satan will come and steal you.

27. I believed everyone who stays in the village is either a witch or a wizard. I vowed never to visit any village.

28. if a cat spits on you death awaits you

29. Older people never Excrete

30. I use to think that as a flower boy, the flower gal was my babe o lol.

Over to you. What are the dumbest thing you believed as a kid?
Op if you really believed from number 14 to 29,
