Majek Fashek The Rain Maker Is Dead, confirmed by his manager.

Nigerian music legend and reggae king Majekodunmi Fasheke, popularly called Majek Fashek, is dead.

His manager Omenka Uzoma, confirmed the news on the late singer’s official Instagram handle on the 2nd of June, 2020

He said “Today been having pressure calls, well it's true that the African No 1 Legendary ICON has gone to be with the LORD his Maker,”

“Let celebrate him, his achievements, and his family, whatever decisions made by his immediate family are going to be notified.”

The music Legend has been in and out of the hospital for a while. He was reported to have gone into personal exile due to his failing illness.

Until his death, he was one among Nigeria’s surviving Reggae music legend, Majek attracted international attention in 1987, together with his self-penned tune, ‘Send down the Rain.’

He also played a supporting role within the 2000 Nollywood movie ‘Mark of the Beast’.

He died at the age of 71(according to Wikipedia)

He will be greatly missed
