How To Counter The Drop In Traffic Of Your Website In 2020? by fivotech2019: 1:48pm On Jun 03, 2020
If you are a website owner facing a drop in your site traffic then you are in the right place.
Today, in this article we are gonna look into few ways to drive more traffic to your website before that we will see why are you seeing a drop in your site traffic.

The main problem lies in google improving its user experience, yes you read that right, now you might be wondering why Google would do that.
The main focus of Google is to provide solutions based on what people are searching that is their job and they are doing that fine, but the question here is why would that affect my website traffic.

In older days, when we search for a query Google will show us a lot of website results based your query, you would be going and looking into each site to find your relevant answer or solution.

But, gradually Google has improved its user experience by pushing a lot of new algorithms, these algorithms are mainly focused on getting user their relevant data without searching too much and to step it up a notch further they have added an excellent feature named Google snippet.

What is Google Snippet?
When we search for a query in Google it shows a snippet with short description or excerpt so most people find the answer without a need to look into other pages.
This is how the snippet would look like;

Still, if you need an example I can give you one;
A few years back if we want to know the score of any live cricket match we would directly go to the website. But, today all you need to do is to just type in the Google search bar for cricket score all the live match details will be listed there. so, there won't be any need to go to the original website.
Google is never gonna remove the snippet option instead they will be continuously improving this feature to make it more suitable for users.
The only thing as a blogger or SEO experts we can do is to survive with this and try to bring in more traffic.

Following these steps, we can overcome the drop in traffic because
remember even if we lose our current users or visitors there will be a lot of new users because of the better user experience google provides.

We can only assume that more users will grow in the count with the development of modern technology.

1) Improve your click-through rate (CTR):
Improve your click-through rate by writing eye-catching titles and good meta descriptions that draw the user to click and visit your website.
Because always remember the first impression is the best impression.
2) Improve your content for search intent:
When a normal user searches the Google or any other search engine for that matter they are not gonna target a particular keyword to search instead they will be typing questions or problems.
So your content should be delivering them solutions based on content, comparisons and problem-solving.
3) Explore Schema Markup:
Explore and use schema markup to improve your search rankings and traffic. In case if you are wondering how does a schema markup would look see the below image;
