Alleged Tenure Elongation Of The National Assembly Staffs, House Of Representatives Okays Memo

Following the alleged controversial five-year tenure enlogation of the Clerk of the National Assembly Sani-Omolori and over 150 other senior staff by moving the retirement age for civil servants in the National Assembly from 35 to 40 years and the retirement age been increased from 60 to 65 years.


The Leadership of the House of Representatives has received and deliberated on the subject as contained in a letter dated 01 June, 2020 vide NASC/PS/11/11/44 regarding the review of the of the condition of service for the National Assembly Service and resolved that the leadership of the House of Representatives can not rescind or annul the 8th Assembly resolution on the retirement age of the National Assembly staff and therefore maintained the position of the 8th Assembly as contained in the conditions of service jointly passed by the Assembly.

For some humorous analysts who are making every efforts possible to dislodge the incumbent clerk of the National Assembly, Prince Sani-Omolori of the Ebira land should refer to the aforementioned Memorandum duly signed by the clerk of the House of Representatives, Patrick A. Giwa for information and guidance and not to allow sentiments and tribalism to becloud their reasoning.

Alhaji Mohammed Ataba Sani-Omolori is a man of integrity with administrative rigours and his dexterity will continue to speak for him.
