This photos were taken in Surulere part of Lagos State, Nigeria. Do you think it's the duty of government to take care of this or the individuals themselves? In my opinion, I feel the individuals living in those environment should be made to do environmental sanitation. Have you ever heard that the government fell sick or the government had cholera? They better avoid sickness from reaching them by coming out en mass and cleaning their environment. Even if the government will help them, they are to take the first step for the sake of their health, their children's health the elderly. Those are the most vulnerable in the population, but if they don't love themselves they shd leave it the way it is and keep blaming the government. I will join them in the blame too but theyre the one to pay for it with their health. |

those Areas are flood plains.. an area of low elevation that acts as drains when excess water are on the land. they drain the water into the sea.. but now the people encroached the areas, neglect the natural cause and build houses along the channels.. the water must flow no matter the impediments on its way.thereby it flows along a path that it deems fit. i can deduce that the wastes also added to this.. but if water channels are left without any man made blockage.. there wont be this...depression in geology 1 Like |
