I'm an outsider. Can someone please explain what type of area Kogi is. I see they have the least number of cases - just 3.
The state government is living in denial and refusing to test for reasons known to them.

Nigeria covid - 419. NCDC una well-done oh! Even when Jigawa said that they discharged 222 patients on 8th June, 2020. But NCDC find it intractable to do the simple arithmetic at least for their fake audio result to look a bit convincing for those who still believe in them.

Which reports say that it was TODAY all 222 were discharged? Please supply the link. I would like to read it. Thanks

They don't care, and yet they can't go to bed unless they see the day's result cheesy cheesy angry grin grin
Some wearing a massive ankara face mask with a bottle of sanitizer in his pocket, but doubting that Covid-19 is in Nigeria cheesy angry grin

The undeniable truth is that everyone cares about how to live with this contagion.

Chicago Mayor Lauri Lightfoot said she was shocked by the number of deaths caused by the new coronavirus in her city. "The death rate of infected black people is seven times that of other ethnic groups," she said. "

Although no nationwide survey has been conducted, data from several cities clearly show that the incidence rate of new African city is far above the average, and the mortality rate is higher than that of whites.

In New Orleans, Louisiana, for example, black people make up only 29% of the city's residents, but 70% of the city's new coronavirus deaths. Linda Rae Murry, a professor of public health at the University of Illinois, said: "the new coronavirus exposes problems that already exist. African Americans are inherently more vulnerable to diabetes, high blood pressure and cardiovascular disease than others. "

Thanks.
But are you sure those reasons given are the only reason why the blacks are largely affected? I don't think so. South Africa shares similar report as well as Brazil to the effect that their black population are more affected by this novel coronavirus. Might carefree attitude on the part of the black be a common factor across these three countries with sizeable black population?

Oh God I pray for interstate commercial bus drivers, private school teachers, people who have been relieved of their jobs or whose jobs are in the cooler owing to the stay at home.

Father, provide for all what to eat.

Amen.

Lack of sincerity on the part of our government remains a clog in the fight against this pandemic in Nigeria.
Except there is a total lockdown for at least 2 to 3 months, worst is yet to come.
How can we have a lockdown in a failed system like ours?
Just a few weeks of lockdown, govt was busy announcing audio money distribution to Nigerians.

I want to appeal to us not to take thi pandemic, with a levity hand.
This Corona virus is very real, but people are thinking it is a scam or a sort of political manipulation. May we not be victims of circumstances. The reason why some states, like Ondo and Edo are having higher cases might be because of the in coming elections.
The social distancing is not been observed and many places are always over crowded. My fear is what is going to happen, when churches, mosques and schools open fully.
I'll advise we should try to stay safe, washing hands, social distancing and avoid over crowded events.
May the Lord keep us safe

Ahhh...I'm just tired!

Just what was the use of the national lockdown we had, other countries still benefited from their lockdown.
Cases are just increasing with or without lockdown in Nigeria!

Abia topped yesterday! What happened today? No tests?

I'm losing my mind, I want to go back to school!

Even to get a menial job (my June out-of-school plan) to pass day time is difficult, I gave up today. I pity breadwinners that lost jobs, some families and especially private school teachers!

We all know that the lockdown was not effective in Nigeria becuz a lot of people did not adhere to it, most especially in Lagos.

In other countries, the govts gave adequate palliatives to their citizens so that they won't feel the impact of the lockdown but the reverse was the case in Naija.

So we ended up making a big mockery of the whole aim of the lockdown. You can see that as some other countries are now able to re-open fully, we are still have increasing cases in most African countries.
