When the new FM stations were allowed to operate, it was expected that they would promote the spread of information and help in the democratisation process. Sdaly this has not happened. What listeners have are radio announcers who do not know what they are supposed to do. They shout at their listeners, rather than talk to them, give stale recycled jokes, and do the laughing, Snd the only programmes they know about are phone-ins, no features, no drammas, no magazines. Anda the music is not the kind you would like to listen ith your mother in law. And the only thing they talk anout in the phone-ins are relationships. They themselves are failures in thir relationships, and they think they can advise the listeners! And they are all the same, no variety. I will always listen to BBC. Even Radio China is doing a etter job

What you wrote up there are over-generalized assertions . . . you need to be specific cos I don't believe that all 'em stations are that bad . . . some of them are doing quite fine.

Not just Kenya. And yes, there are some which are quite good, but overall, many are an embarrassment
