Herald.ng just received news that Nigerian-born Dubai based socialite and magnate, Hushpuppy has reportedly been arrested in Dubai over an alleged COVID-19 fraud. According to reports, funds meant for the purchase of COVID-19 ventilators to be used for patients suffering from the virus were dubiously siphoned into personal accounts. According to a source familiar with the story, it was revealed on twitter that the Interpol got involved with investigations in trailing Hushpuppy and his associate, Woodberry so as to have them arrested.
Reports say the COVID-19 ventilator funds looted were up to the tune of $35 Million. The source of the transaction is yet to be identified at the time of this news. Popular Nigerian controversial journalist, Kemi Olunloyo revealed that Hushpuppy and a close associate, Woodberry were apprehended today Tuesday in Dubai.
