In America and Europe they are pulling down statues of slave traders, and Nigerians applaud them. Meanwhile, in Nigeria, we have a town named Escravos, means slave in Portuguese. We also have another town named Forcados, which means forced labourer. If you doubt me, Google these towns and the meaning of their names in Portuguese. Are we a serious people at all? We literally are celebrating slavery with the names of our own towns and shouting Black Lives Matter. We are like a people suffering from cancer and leaving our cancer to help another man treat his headache!
