Sony pushed back their launch event for PS5 last week amid Black Lives Matter protests across the US for George Floyd.



The company said at the time: “We do not feel that right now is a time for celebration and for now, we want to stand back and allow more important voices to be heard.”

Sony is now expected to reveal the console at 9 pm UK time ahead of pre-orders for the next-generation console in July and August.

Sony’s launch event will take place at 9 pm BST with a live-streamed reveal of the new console on YouTube and Twitch says The Telegraph.

Sony is yet to reveal the PS5 console itself, although it has shared images of a new white and black controller which will come with the device.

[b][/b]How much will the PlayStation 5 cost?
Although Bloomberg reported that Sony is likely to charge at least $470 (N188k) for the device, Sony hasn’t announced how much the PlayStation 5 will cost.

This will be Sony’s most expensive PlayStation device and could see the console sold for a higher price than Microsoft’s rival Xbox Series X.
