Sometimes you try to install an application from Google Play Store, an error displayed as “Something went wrong, Authentication is required. You need to sign in to your Google Account“. There might be chance that you’re just opening the Google Play Store and the error displayed on your Android device. It’s very annoying, if you’re unable to download the application from Google Play Store. The Android user prefer Google Play Store to download the application as it’s safe. Other source of apk file might contains some malicious application that steal your confidential data from device. To fix the problem of Authentication error, try the following possible solution.

Head to Settings > Application/Apps (this may be different depending on your device) > Google Play Store > Storage.

Tap on Clear Cache and Clear Data. Also click on “Force Stop” Button.
