The all progressive congress has made it clear why they disqualified The incumbent Governor of Edo state, Governor Obaseki from contesting the Primary of the party which was to take place on the 22nd of June.



Obaseki was disqualified alongside with other participating aspirants, Mathew Iduoriyekewem and Chris Ogiemwonyi wile the party cleared former secretary to the state government, Osagie Ize-Iyamu, Osaro Obaze and Pius Odubu.



Addressing newsmen at the party national secretary council, The Chairman of the Screening party committee, Doctor Jonathan Ayuba concluded by saying that Obaseki was disqualified due to his "A" Levels result which he obtain from the institute for continuous Education in Benin city, Edo state.



The chairman of the screening committee also said that Governor Obaseki only presented a letter indicating "To whom it may concern" from the institute but there was no results to prove s evidence that he his a graduate from the institution.
