The Americans should do more about the dispensing of jail terms in their penitentiaries. Imagine someone who's alleged to be an accomplice in a cyber-crime with gains in the region of between 80 to 100 million dollars, getting a mere 27 months jail term, It's crazy, really. That's a little over 2 years (That's if they're not let out on parole). Each of the other team members surely may have gained at least 5 million dollars each, considering that Tobechi was the leader. For that amount, I would agree to go to an American jail for 27 months and come back to Naija a multi millionaire. Maybe they should have bagged 15 years each to serve as a deterrent. Here in Nigeria, a scammer could be remanded in kirikiri for more than 27 months, awaiting trial.
