Just Like In 2015, SW Is About To Betray The South Again In 2023 by proeast(m): 10:44am On Jun 14, 2020 |
GEJ had some issues no doubt, but there was no denying the fact he was a true Democrat and meant well for the country. However, as 2015 elections approached, his worst critics were the SW. Now, if such criticisms were borne out of good intentions it would have been helpful, but what we saw was outright use of propaganda, lies, slander and all manner of smear campaign all targeted at the person of GEJ. While South East and South South fought hard to at least give GEJ some deserved support, Tinubu went into alliance with the North and together, they contrived to remove GEJ from office. Today, the corruption allegations, insecurity, maladministration etc. This same Tinubu and his minions accused GEJ have become brazenly out of control yet the SW have kept silent, and even when Igbos complain about how the country is fast going downhill, the SW pretend that Nigeria is now perfect under Buhari even when the country has never had it worse. They are doing all these based on selfishness and greed to show Buhari and the Northerners that they are standing with them. Their believe is that the North will compensate them for being so loyal to them. The SW through Tinubu, are now cunningly championing a return of power to the South as a mantra, with the hope that APC will give their ticket to Tinubu while PDP should give theirs to an Igboman. By so doing, they will now use the APC control of the center to manipulate things for Tinubu to win. The SW have forgotten that he who must come to equity must come with clean hands. How can a region that have ruled for 8 years as president and another 8 years as Vice president have the guts to tell another not to contest while they can freely contest. Such thinking is not only selfish but also illogical. If the SW feels they can contest in 2023, then nothing stops the NW or any region at that from doing so. Unfortunately for the SW, the Northerners are even far more cunning and self preserving than they can imagine. During the run-up to 2015, many northerners in PDP openly and privately campaigned for Buhari who was in APC. Now, they are definitely going to do so again once Tinubu emerges from APC by massively supporting any Northern candidate that comes from PDP. Lastly, Igbos are not desperately seeking for the presidency because it is in the best interest of those that want Nigeria to remain as one that should be championing Igbo presidency same way everyone championed Yoruba presidency in 1999 as a way of pacifying them over the injustice that was metted to Abiola. By insisting on contesting in 2023, the SW will only be paving the way for the ultimate emergence of a Northern president. 32 Likes 5 Shares |

[s] proeast:[/s] Shut up, there was never any agreement and no one is about to betray anyone. Every qualified Nigerian is free to join the party of his/her choice, pick a form and contest. The North, SW and parts of SS will massively vote The Jagaban as the president Fed Rep of Nigeria. Wailers, PDP and ipob pigs can go kill themselves. 54 Likes 7 Shares |

Simplyleo: You obviously don't know anything about Nigeria politics and how manipulative the north can be. The north knows the SW even more than you know yourself. Just like Awolowo, they can never support any afonja who is desperate like Tinubu. Mark my words today, the drug Lord will never become president and he will die trying just like Awo and Abiola. Now, let me school you on what is going to happen by 2023, northerners in APC will give Tinubu the ticket just to rubbish the South's turn. Then while some of them will decamp to PDP, others will remain in APC but all of them will ensure that the Northern candidate in PDP wins. Ask yourself where Tinubu is going to get his votes from? SE and SS can't and won't vote for Tinubu for obvious reasons, then North will always vote for their own even if he is Lucifer, then only SW will vote for Tinubu. You guys think you're smart but you all are obviously rookies who don't understand the game. 15 Likes 4 Shares |

Yenyen, where were you when south west protested against yar'adua's wife/cabal because of Jonathan or when all South West state (except osun) voted for Jonathan in 2011? Jonathan betrayed a whole South West, he ignored them and even call them rascals, South West will never tolerate such nonsense unlike South East that has been loyal to PDP for more than 20yrs yet they refuse to even consider u as their presidential candidate 48 Likes 7 Shares

[s] proeast:[/s] The north can never vote afonja yen yen yen. Keep deceiving yourselves. Was it ipob miscreants that voted Abiola against Tofa? If IBB had axe to grind with Abiola, that is a different thing, but the fact remains: North voted Abiola against Tofa, a northerner. Again, is Obj a northerner? Simplyleo: You're not even seeing the bigger picture. You are too simplistic and obviously ignorant of how the Northerners play politics. The contest is not going to be between Tinubu and an Igbo man in PDP. The moment yorubas fall for the bait and APC gives the ticket to Tinubu, a northerner will then emerge in PDP and it will be deja Vu again just like in 2015. Northerners both in APC and PDP will support the PDP candidate while only Yorubas will support Tinubu, then tell me how he will win. 5 Likes 3 Shares |

funshint: Nigeria has changed a lot since the last couple of decades. The north will allow Tinubu to emerge from APC then throw in their support to the northern candidate that will emerge from PDP. They did it against GEJ when even his own party members campaigned and voted against him in favour of Buhari. If you believe northerners whether in APC or any other party will vote for Tinubu then you're dreaming. They are only using him and tolerating his presence, the moment he outlives his usefulness as would happen by 2023, they will discard him like a piece of rubbish. 3 Likes 1 Share |

I think lgbos should present a candidate who lgbos should vote for whether he wins or not. You cannot be voting for those who will not vote for you Let the south south present a candidate to be voted for by the region they are far more entitled to it Let the south west present a candidate to be voted for by the region . Middle belt present a candidate to be voted for by some in the region Core north present a candidate to be voted for by the region Then let voters decide at the polls. Simple 4 Likes 1 Share |

We Don't have any allegiance or agreement with South East, as a matter of fact we where divided by God with River niger blocking us before they built the Niger Bridge, absolutely no agreement, and we don't owe you anything politically... go and meet PDP that you sold yourself to, or forge an agreement with North like we did in 2015 after Jonathan betrayed us let me make it clear to Ibos banking on supporting PDP and Northern candidate, trying to play MMM because of VP slot, PDP can never give its VP slot to SouthEast again, a region with lowest PVC collection and with 2 non PDP state out of 5 tiny states . 29 Likes 4 Shares |

What a pity, now you want to use blackmail to gain support for an SE candidate? Talking about an agreement? Lol what effort have you put in to mend fences and build trust in a political party? You supported a nuisance as your leader now you’ve been scammed. Whiteangel1234: That is just it, we will even reject PDP candidacy if APC refuses to do the right thing by giving the ticket to an Igbo man. In 1999, Nigerians endured that Yorubas emerged from both parties just to pacify them over Abiola. Now, based on justice, fairness and equity, it is the Igbo turn in 2023 but if the Yorubas should sabotage it out of selfishness then nothing stops the north from continuing where Buhari stopped. SW does not have any right to it more than the north. 2 Likes 1 Share |
