The Senator representing Lagos East in the National Assembly, Senator Bayo Osinowo is dead.

He died today, June 15, 2020, in Lagos after battling Coronavirus complications for weeks at the age of 64.

The Lagos State House of Assembly was thrown into disarray following the news of his death.

His death was confirmed by a family member, the Chairman of Agboyi-Ketu Local Council Development Area, Mayor Dele Osinowo.

The Street Journal learnt that Senator Osinowo was placed under isolation to prevent further spread of the virus after he contracted it.

A member of the APC in his constituency has revealed that his relatives and party members were at the isolation centre to receive his body.

Another insider revealed that the senator would be buried today by 4 pm according to Islamic rites and prayers will be held in his honour.

Osinowo popularly called Pepperito was an All Progressives Congress (APC) lawmaker and a former member of the Lagos State House of Assembly for 16 years.
