He had personal drivers as far back as the early 80's when my mum bought flour and sugar from his shops in Kano. He is not ostentatious but neither is he a skinflint. The 10million Naira guy is wise. It's called time management. If you are making at least 5 million Naira annually in Lagos, you must get a driver if you want to maximize your time. Just pay a driver 50k a month (600k/yr), shekina. Lagos traffic is crazy. You can get many things done in traffic especially if you are a businessman; reply emails, make calls, draw the plan for the day, tidy up PowerPoint presentations or even sleep in case you didn't have enough rest in the previous night. Do you know what 3 hours of traffic mean to a businessman? It's a different case if you are living in cities with less traffic.
