MaestroJosh: You have to look into your diet. You need to avoid any food that leads to constipation especially fatty and high carbohydrates. I would suggest you go vegetarian. Eat lots of vegetables and fruits. You need to run away from alcohol and caffeinated drinks. Drink lots of water and exercise regularly. Once you get your diet right coupled with good healthy lifestyle, your intestines will heal itself and you will be fine. The earlier the better because it could lead to colon cancer. It doesn't matter what drugs or herbs you take, as long as your diet is not right and your poo is rock solid that you have to strain before defecating, you will continue to have hemorrhoidal episodes. Drugs and herbs may cure your current episode. Proper dietary that suit your system will prevent it happening again. As they say, prevention is better than cure. |

Yungmil: Actually, you need to sit on the water itself next time. All you need to do is just warm water and not hot water. It's called "Sitz bath". Get Epsom Salt and pour into the warm water (about 40deg Celsius). Sit on the water for about 15minutes with the pile prolapse touching the water. Do this as many times as you can to ease the discomfort. |

Treshmike: It will come and go if the diet and lifestyle is not suitable. It's very important to take the diet and lifestyle advice very seriously because continual hemorrhoidal episodes can lead to colon cancer. |

Yungmil: It doesn't go. You just have to prevent it with proper diet and good lifestyle. You may have to meet a dietician to recommend or produce your "meal timetable". You must henceforth be conscious of everything that goes into your mouth now. |
