A delegation of Government College Umuahia Old Boys on Wednesday paid a courtesy visit to the Senate Chief Whip, Sen. Orji Uzor Kalu at his Abuja residence, ABN TV reports.

The team was led by Dr. Okwesilieze Nwodo, former Governor of Enugu State and former PDP Chairman.

The visit may not be unconnected with Sen. Kalu’s recent release from the prison after his incarceration for about 6 months following his wrongful conviction by a Lagos Federal High Court.

Immediately Orji Kalu was jailed last December, an old boy of Government College Umuahia wrote a damning article that demonised Kalu. I am sure seeing this visit will be a squeaky bum time for that old boy article writer.

Nigeria is the perfect country for Nigerians. I believe our leaders are not our problem, our society is the problem. If the society is ok with and encourages corruption in all spheres of life from business to government. And all sectors educatiional and even religious. A society that encourages fraud. Where you can virtually find fraudsters in every faculty of institutions, then I think our leaders are the least of our problems. We are our problems
