bankole200:Everybody is attacking Fayemi and why? If you are in Fayemi's shoes, won't you do the same thing? That slot is for Ekiti. Segun Oni left there... Niyi Adebayo took over....now he is not there Fayemi is saying Ekiti should have it When Lai Mohammed left his position, he was replaced by another Kwaran, Bolaji Abdullahi Abdullahi left there and is been replaced by another Kwaran Issa-Onilu So everyone is defending his own. It isn't wrong to have ambitions, is it? 4 Likes |

wink2015: honestly we southerners are certified fools in politics- all this confusion in APC is to demolish the party so that it can be very weak and then Atiku or El Rufai will run on another platform - probably the PDP and defeat the APC flag bearer Tinubu and then Power remains in the North for another 8 years. ALL THIS DRAMA GOING ON IS JUST TO MAKE SURE POWER DOES NOT RETURN TO THE SOUTH IN 2023 i was telling a friend recently that for Buhari to hand over peacefully to a southerner in 2023, he will rather ask Army Chief Buratai to overthrow him on the eve of May 29, 2023 - There is a reason he left the monumental failure Buratai as Army Chief of Staff despite the plea of well meaning Nigerians to sack him for incompetence. una never see anything - OSHOMOLE, GIADOM and all of them are acting a script in a political circus, na Tinubu no know wetin dey happen The North is afraid that Tinubu has an agenda and they don’t trust him so They are ready to destroy the party as long as power resides in the north Mark this down as my prophesy for 2023!!! 1 Like |

MikkieEl: How can 3 chairman emerge in a party whose chairman was merely suspended barely 24hours. It means that suspended chairman was not popular. Autocratic and high handed in his dealings . see how God now humbled him in front of his own people in his own state. 2 Likes |

Dansuqi:. The Ekiti state APC bielieves that since Segun Oni is from Ekiti the new deputy chairman must come from Ekiti. This is the premise of the court case in question filed in February 2020.It mist be noted that the petitioner wants the court to declare the seat Ajimobi is holding vacant and the seat returned to Ekiti. The court has not taken any decision on it till today. In the process of this Ajimobi became the chairman and now an acting charman. Since there has been no injunction against filling in the post, that APC is legally right to appoint Ajimobi as the deputy chairman from the south west. Additionally Section 14 of the APC constitution says if the party chairman is suspended the deputy chairman of the zone where he comes becomes the acting chairman. So his appointment as the acting chairman is constitutional and appropriate.Conversely if a deputy chairman is removed the party can choose a replacement from any state of the geopolitical Zone he comes from.... The challenge against Ajimobi is a waste of time and and a frivolity of judicial process. |

ejimatic: Thanks for the clarification... I think a law should be made to recommend heavy fine against any appellant that try to waste the court's time with unnecessary case.. The Deputy national Chairman is not the birthright of any state. If Ajimobi is from outside SW then I can say APC erred. 1 Like |

Re: Micheal Akinleye Declares Ajimobi’s Appointment Illegal, Threatens Lawsuit by fergie001: 3:45pm On Jun 18, 2020 |
seanfer:I tend to disagree slightly... Ekiti APC is saying that their members Oni & Adebayo occupied that slot hence it should remain their position. But their arguments isn't frivolous....they have cited Article 20 of the APC Constitution. This is Article 20.1(a) "All Party posts prescribed or implied by this Constitution shall be filled by democratically conducted elections at the respective National Convention or Congress subject, where possible, to consensus, Provided that where a Candidate has emerged by consensus for an elective position, a vote of “yes” or “no” by ballot or voice shall be called, to ensure that it was not an imposition which could breed discontent and crisis." Ratification of any Officer of the party is backed by a Convention (National or Zonal) or the NEC. What Ekiti is saying is..Is Ajimobi a product of any of these? This suit had long been filed even before he was named Ag National Chairman... So ejimatic....back to you. |
